I took this picture at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Father’s Day two years ago. I was in D.C. for a conference and stopped here briefly, at my dad’s urging, before heading back on the Amtrak. Here’s something I wrote on my other Tumblr today about Memorial Day, portraiture and this site specifically.
